Atletico Mineiro wrapping up deal for Forest midfielder Scarpa

Nottingham Forest midfielder Gustavo Scarpa has agreed to leave the club immediately.

The Brazilian is set to sign permanently with Atletico Mineiro in Brazil.

Per recent media reports, the Reds have received a fee of around €4.5 million and €5 million for the playmaker.

The 29-year-old was a peripheral figure at the end of his time under Steve Cooper.

The midfielder played six times in the Premier League last season, which resulted in a loan to Olympiacos in the summer.

However, he was barely playing in Greece either, with Brazilian journalist Bira Marinho stating that a deal is done for him to head to his homeland.

"Gustavo Scarpa agreed with Atletico," he posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
