Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini has not speculated on the future of Rasmus Hojlund.
While Gasperini wants to hold onto his young Denmark forward, he is aware of Manchester United's deep interest in the player.
Given the Red Devils are ready to stump up most of the cash that Atalanta want for Hojlund, a deal could happen before the August deadline.
As reported by Italy24, Gasperini said: “Hojlund? Even if we fix a date, put August 15, the transfer market isn't over.
“If an [irresistible] offer arrives, the club, the player, decides later.
“Date? I would put July 31 but realistically there is no possibility of putting it, even Hojlund was like this last year, everything is random."
