Now 39, Pepe Reina has started the year superbly for Villarreal.

The veteran goalkeeper has produced impressive numbers after his two consecutive starts in goal for Villarreal.

Reina has achieved victories in LaLiga against two big rivals in Valencia (2-1) and Real Madrid (2-1), with impeccable statistics.

The Yellows goalkeeper, with two key saves against Real Madrid, has accumulated 83 per cent of saves in LaLiga, while his percentage of completed passes has risen to 81 per cent.

Reina also reaches 85 per cent when it comes to completing passes under pressure, with an average of 6.33 long balls per game.

So far, Reina has 157 appearances to his name (111 La Liga, 23 UEFA Europa League, 15 Intertoto Cup, three Copa del Rey and five in the UEFA Conference League) in his two spells with the Yellows.
