Aston Villa have sounded out Liverpool for Rickie Lambert.
Villa boss Paul Lambert is keen to take his namesake on-loan today.
Liverpool are reluctant to let the England international leave and Lambert recently said he would be staying at Liverpool "for as long as they want me".
Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion are also interested in Lambert.
