The long-term future of England and Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland remains in doubt.
However, according to the Bournemouth Echo, it doesn't seem likely that a move to the Vitality will materialise for Butland. Bournemouth and Aston Villa were the leading clubs for the goalkeeper, but with the Cherries out of the running now; it could be set up for Villa to pounce.
Eddie Howe currently has four senior goalkeepers in his first-team squad, with Asmir Begovic, Artur Boruc, Aaron Ramsdale and Mark Travers all returning to training at Vitality Stadium last week.
Butland, 26, has won nine caps for the Three Lions and was part of Gareth Southgate's squad that finished third in this summer's Nations League finals in Portugal.
