Astana defender Antonio Rukavina: We understand youthful Man Utd line-up

Astana defender Antonio Rukavina was delighted with his role in victory over Europa League opponents Manchester United.

Astana came from behind to win 2-1, with Rukavina marking the goals with a violin celebration.

He explained, "It was a violin, because it sets the tone. As in the expression 'first violin' is the most piercing instrument in the orchestra. I, the right-footed violin, is the same! (Laughs)

"I thought about this the whole match, and in the end I managed to play my part. Actually, this is not my goal (D'Shon Bernard's own goal), but okay."

On United's youthful line-up, Rukavina insisted: "For our guests it was difficult, because they have a difficult championship and a difficult way here, a difficult match, in the group they'd already qualified from.

"It was important for them to put young players in and see what they are capable of in the future. And we, despite of everything, were still preparing for Manchester United. All the players are from this legendary team, it doesn't matter if they are 30 years old or 18. I can say that they are children, but they are great players."
