Arthur Melo is delighted to be joining Barcelona.

The former Gremio midfielder's arrival was brought forward this month, after the original agreement of a January deal was ripped up.

"I am very happy, I am realizing a dream, I always dreamed of wearing this shirt and today is a great day for me. I feel very privileged to be part of Barcelona," said Arthur.

"This is a historic club and I want to be major player here. It is a great team and you are obligated to do your best at all times."

Arthur will be presented to the local media later today.
