Having arrived from Atletico Madrid three years ago, Partey is now 30 and in his fourth season with Arsenal.

He is out until the New Year with a thigh problem, with injuries restricting his minutes since last season.

Given he is one of Arsenal's highest paid players on £200,000-a-week, Partey will have to prove his fitness or face an exit very soon.
