Arsenal are hoping to acquire Jesus Gamez as part of the deal that will see Nicklas Bendtner join Malaga.
BT.dk reports that the Gunners will offer £1.5million and Danish striker Bendtner to land 28-year old right-back Gamez.
Bendtner is wanted by Malaga but so far manager Bernd Schuster has been unable to agree a salary with him.
"An agreement with Bendtner has so far been impossible. For him, he wanted to continue on a very high salary, where our focus has been more on getting him back to his top level," he said.
Arsenal want to bring in Gamez to provide further competition for Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson.
