Arsenal U21 coach Ali happy handing Danish whiz Chido Obi (15) debut

Arsenal U21 coach Mehmet Ali was happy to hand 15 year-old Danish striker Chido Obi a debut for their 6-3 win against Brighton.

Obi continues to train with the U16s, but is playing for the U18s and now for Ali's U21s.

The coach told arsenal.com: "Arsenal is a great club to work for and we're always looking at top talents and players that deserve opportunities, but then they've got to take that.

“To be fair to Chido he had a really tough game midweek playing in the UEFA Youth League for the under-19s.

“Today he got on the pitch which was good for him in 21s football, but now he's got to go back to his 16s group, get his head down and work really hard, think about some of the areas that he struggled in against older players and look to improve and get better, so when he does play at this level he's in a better position."
