Sunderland prospect Mason Cotcher has been given a new Premier League chance.

The talented forward, who is only 17, is set to leave Sunderland when his deal expires this summer.

The Mail states that he has been spending the past week at United.

After trials at Brighton, Rangers and Arsenal, he may have finally settled on a team.

He played in a 4-0 win for United's U18s over Leeds United, which also saw 15-year-old Amir Ibragimov earn game time for United.

Cotcher will be hoping that he did enough in the game to earn a permanent deal.
