Arsenal striker Lucas Perez has returned to his former club Deportivo la Coruña to recover from the ankle injury he picked up in the EFL Cup clash with Reading last month.

Perez has been ruled out for up to eight weeks and is only expected to return in December.

However, his former club have offered him their facilities in the coming days to help him recover from his injury.

A statement on the La Liga club's offical website said: "According to the plans of the English club's medical services, in communication with the medical services of Deportivo, the forward will use the facilities during the next few days."
