Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson feels ready to leave in January.

Nelsson was linked with Arsenal and Tottenham over the summer - and revealed he was close to joining Sevilla.

“It was very close with Sevilla," he said. “The flight was booked, but [the move] did not materialise.

“I think that Galatasaray blocked the transfer. It's no secret. They didn't find the offer good enough.

“There has been interest and offers from clubs that I really want to join. I would have liked to have moved."

On talks with Gala management, the Dane added: "I have had some talks with them.

“I informed them after the last international break that I don't want to extend my contract. I have three years left on my contract and I just can't see myself extending another year."
