Arsenal saw Alexander-Arnold as Liverpool's weak link

Arsenal targeted Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool's right side in their Premier League win on Sunday.

The Gunners emerged with a vital result against a side they have often struggled to best.

However, Gabriel Martinelli netted in the contest that was a 3-1 win for the home side.

Post-game, he stated of the Reds' right side: “We knew that was the area of the pitch that we could get something from.

“Me personally I always do well against Liverpool."

While he enjoyed a fruitful game, Martinelli has struggled overall this season for the Gunners.

He has only managed five goals in 21 league games, which is not what supporters would have expected.
