Arsenal are launching a bid for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Wilmar Barrios.

Barrios is expected to leave Zenit this summer and has already been linked with Newcastle United. Indeed, Russian media sources say the Toon have tabled an offer of €17m for the Colombia international.

Jeunesfooteux.com says Arsenal are now in contact and willing to outbid all rivals for Barrios.

An offer of €30m is being readied for Zenit's consideration.

Barrios joined Zenit from Boca Juniors in February 2019 for €15m.
