Arsenal are ready to allow Johan Djourou to join Rennes on-loan.

Djourou, 21, played against West Brom in last weekend's opening game but knows his first-team chances will be limited once Kolo Toure returns to full fitness.

With Arsene Wenger also signing Mikael Silvestre from Manchester United, he may use the chance to let the Switzerland international get some regular first-team football under his belt.
