Arsenal are hopeful of tying down youngster Gabriel Martinelli to a new long-term deal.

The Gunners are very happy with the 21-year-old winger's progress under manager Mikel Arteta.

Martinelli is first-choice for the team on the left-wing, ahead of Emile Smith Rowe at present.

According to Calciomercato, Martinelli does have two more years to run on his present deal.

However, Arsenal want to get his future sorted, ideally before the World Cup this winter.

Martinelli has been with Arsenal since arriving from Ituano in Brazil in 2018.
