Arsenal plan January move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka

Arsenal are planning a January move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka.

Ndicka has emerged as a transfer option for Arsenal in their attempts to find a left-sided centre-back to provide competition for Gabriel Magalhaes, says the London Evening Standard.

Arsenal targeted Lisandro Martinez last summer before he joined Manchester United and Mikel Arteta is still seeking to strengthen his defence either in January or next summer.

Ndicka, 23, is out of contract at the end of the season. Frankfurt want him to sign a new contract but they could be tempted to sell in January to avoid losing him for free next summer.

The Frenchman has played against Tottenham in the Champions League this season and his situation is being monitored by a number of clubs, including Juventus. He moved to Frankfurt from Auxerre in 2018 and has impressed in Germany.
