Arsenal will be without Kieran Tierney and Bukayo Saka for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Wolves.
Scotland left-back Tierney missed last weekend's goalless draw with Manchester United due to a calf injury.
Saka also missed the United stalemate and is unlikely to face Wolves.
"They haven't been able to train yet with us, so I think it will be really difficult for them," Arteta said of Tierney and Bukayo Saka.
"I don't know, we are going to try until the last minute - see how they are feeling."
But the Gunners will be boosted by the return of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has not played since January 23 after his mother fell ill.
The Gabon international has returned to training, which is a strong indication he will be available for selection to face Wolves.
