Arsenal are believed to be showing significant interest in Southampton defender Calum Chambers.
The Gunners are yet to secure France international Bacary Sagna to a new contract so have begun the hunt for his replacement in case he decides to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Reports suggest that Arsenal are willing to offer Sagna a three-year deal to remain in north London but have Chambers in their sights as a long-term successor to the 31-year old.
19-year old right-back Chambers came through the Saints famed youth academy before making his debut under Mauricio Pochettino this season and going on to play 21 times in the Premier League.
