Arsenal are battling for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
The Daily Express says Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is considering a £10m bid for him to help add more steel to their midfield.
With Abou Diaby currently out for up to nine months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, and Francis Coquelin deemed surplus to requirements, Schneiderlin could fit the bill.
