Arsenal are sweating on scans on injured captain William Gallas.

After their 0-0 draw at Portsmouth, the Gunners left Fratton Park sweating on the fitness of Gallas, who needed treatment following a number of heavy challenges, ahead of Saturday's trip to Everton.

Arsene Wenger said: "We had a problem with Gallas. We didn't know how long he will last. He got a kick on his foot. We don't know how bad it is."
