Arsenal are holding onto Nacho Monreal this season.

Calciomercato.com says Monreal will stay at Arsenal this summer after Real Sociedad ended their interest in the left back.

The Basque side were interested in taking the 32-year-old back to La Liga this summer.

There had been suggestions in the Spanish press that Monreal was not wanted at the Emirates by new boss Unai Emery.

But it's claimed that Monreal is indeed part of his compatriot's plans, and that an enquiry from La Real was met by Arsenal saying they would want a significant transfer fee for the player.
