Arsenal are chasing Dutch teen Jasper Schendelaar.
The 16 year-old goalkeeper is tied to AZ Alkmaar and a regular with their U21 team.
TMW says Arsenal have opened talks with AZ about a deal for Schendelaar ahead of the January market.
Negotiations are already at an advanced stage and the youngster is expected to sign with the Gunners.
Arsenal have been busy hunting for a new youth keeper signing in recent months.
