Arsenal are pushing forward with a contract extension for defender Zak Swanson.
The right back is currently on loan at MVV Maastricht for the entire season.
He has a contract with the Gunners that runs until the summer of 2022.
Per Football Insider, Arsenal will trigger a two year extension on that deal.
It would take him to 2024.
That may be welcome news for the 20-year-old, as he has struggled in Holland this season, and his loan may even be terminated early.
The club will hope to find him another move, perhaps to a Premier League or Championship club, in January.
