Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has rejected criticism of England teammate Harry Maguire.
Ramsdale was speaking after England's friendly win in Scotland last night, where Maguire put thrugh his own net.
He said of the Manchester United defender: "When you are under the microscope of fans and experts, every detail is analysed.
"If he played consistently week after week, an own goal would probably be pushed under the rug. He tried to do the right thing by blocking the ball, but it went into the goal and it was unfortunate.
"Because of the situation, people are exaggerating the criticism that he shouldn't be here and shouldn't be playing, but Harry Maguire is, as we've seen over the years, one of England's best defenders."
