Arsenal goalkeeper Leno tells Emery: Let me play every game

Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno doesn't want to rest while he steps in for the injured Petr Cech.

Cech injured his hamstring in Saturday's 2-0 win over Watford and manager Unai Emery must decide whether to start Leno against Qarabag or protect him for the trip to Fulham.

The German wants to play in Azerbaijan to give him more time to get used to the way Arsenal play.

“I want to get more confidence," he said. “ I want to play to get the feeling with the team and to improve.

“I do not want it to sound wrong that I am happy for Petr to get injured. I feel sorry for him but now he is injured I have the opportunity to show the coach my quality.

“My chance came on Saturday and it was good. It is difficult to sit on the bench but the coach told me not to be sad and just train hard."
