Arsenal explore loan for Juventus defender Rugani

Arsenal are pushing to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani on loan.

The centre-back is surplus to requirements at the Turin club.

However, Juventus would prefer to complete a straight sale, as it would provide them with the necessary funds to balance the books.

The Guardiansays Arsenal have enquired about a season long loan deal with the option to buy.

Juventus quoted them nearly £50 million for an outright purchase.

Rugani was wanted by current Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri last summer when he was at Chelsea, but is not believed to be in the coach's plans this time around.
