Arsenal defender William Saliba earned a World Cup runners up medal on Sunday.

Saliba only played a bit part role during the tournament for Les Bleus.

However, as they were defeated on penalties by Argentina in the final on Sunday, Saliba did pick up a runners up medal.

While two French players, such as Matteo Guendouzi and Hugo Lloris, immediately took off their medals, Saliba kept his medal around his neck.

The France squad posed for a photo on the podium, before Argentina came to collect their medals and lift the trophy.

Saliba will have a quick turnaround to club football, as Arsenal take on West Ham United in eight days' time.
