Arsenal defender Rob Holding insists they can be happy with their campaign after ending it with victory over Everton.

Arsenal finished with 69 points this season – their highest points tally since 2018/19 – and will be back in European football next year after finishing fifth.

And Holding is adamant that significant progress is being made.

“Yeah I think the progress this year especially has been massive," said the defender.

“We've really stepped up and the team is building. The connection with the fans has been amazing this year, with them being back in the stands from the two years of Covid.

“So yeah I think we are heading in the right direction, and it's a building block."
