Arsenal are interested in Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.

The Guardian says Manchester United will face competition from Arsenal to sign Maddison.

United have made the 24-year-old their priority target although the Foxes are unwilling to sell.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta wants to lure Maddison to the Emirates Stadium and will go head to head with United for his services.

However, any deal is unlikely to happen until the end of this season.
