The Daily Mail says Arsene Wenger has switched his attention to Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong after growing frustrated in his pursuit of long-time target Yann M'Vila.

The Arsenal boss wants to bolster his midfield options after injuries to Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey and Mikel Arteta.

Wenger is reportedly ready to make a move for Manchester City midfielder De Jong.

QPR have also targeted the Dutch enforcer, who made just 11 starts for the Premier League champions last season.
