Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger denied this morning he was seeking to buy Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler today.

Wenger attempted to pour cold water on the prospect of signing the youngster.

"The Draxler situation has been created by the newspapers, not by me.

"He will stay at Schalke.
