Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains in the hunt for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.

Saints refused to do business with Arsenal last summer over the Frenchman, who has since penned a new deal.

But the Daily Star Sunday says Wenger will bid more than £20m for the Saints man, who is also a target for Barcelona.

Wenger sees Schneiderlin as the ideal defensive midfielder and is now convinced he needs somebody in that position after his team's loss to Monaco.
