Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was delighted with Wojciech Szczesny's performance in victory at QPR.
Szczesny, who may still be ousted by a big name keeper signing this summer with German Rene Adler on their hit-list, has clearly responded to the competition from Lukasz Fabianski.
Wenger said: "Of course I expected that reaction from him. That's what you have seen with people like Seaman and Lehmann. When I took them out, they came back stronger. He's done well, he's in a good frame of mind.
"It was a very great save, it shows the importance of a goalkeeper. We needed him once and he got there. Remy took the shot very well and very early and you needed a special save. I honestly thought it was in.
"He looks like he has got his confidence back. I have a decision to make, one more decision. I must give him credit because he has responded very well to competition.
"When he came back he was sharper than when I left him out."
