Arsenal boss Unai Emery granted his squad two days off this week ahead of their Europa League clash tonight against Eintracht Frankfurt.
After their draw with Southampton, Emery's response was to allow his players two days off, despite the fact they face Eintracht Frankfurt tonight and have not won for more than a month, says the Daily Mail.
The Spaniard, understood to have lost some of the dressing room, wanted to give his players a psychological break following their run of one victory in their last eight games.
But the decision was met with surprise by some members of the club's footballing operation.
Emery is under no illusions that his job is seriously under threat, yet felt time off was more beneficial than work on the training pitch.
