Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed he will be without midfielder Thomas Partey for a few weeks.

The 30-year-old was absent from the Gunners' impressive 3-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday in the Premier League.

Partey, who has been featuring at right back this season, will miss the international break with Ghana as well.

Asked about Partey, Arteta told reporters: "We need a few more tests but he felt something in training and I think he will be out for a couple of weeks.

"He had the capacity to play in various positions and today was a game for him to play in a different position but he is not available."

The Gunners next play on the 17th on September when they go to Everton in the Premier League.
