Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta sees Jack Wilshere as a future manager of the club.
The club's U18 coach is currently in talks with Colorado Rapids.
Asked about Wilshere taking a top job, Arteta said: "It is difficult to predict when that might happen, but it could be very soon.
"He has the potential to do it. It is clear to him now what he wants and why he is doing it, and I think it is a great asset for the club to have him here,.
"It is completely natural when people do well. He will be attracted and then it is up to him to make the right decision."
