Chilean sources are adamant Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez isn't joining Manchester United for money.

Sanchez is set to earn a staggering £500,000-a-week at Old Trafford - making him Britain's best paid player.

Manchester City turned their nose up and matching the mega contract offer from their rivals.

But despite the tempting financial offer on the table, Chilean journo Maks Cardenas says that's not why Sanchez is heading to the red half of Manchester.

He wrote on Twitter: “Is not about the money. Alexis prefers United to city because he knows he can be a star there. In City he would not know even if he would always be a starter. And Alexis likes to play everything even friendly matches."
