Arsenal and Manchester United are eyeing Sunderland teen Logan Pye.
The Daily Mail says Arsenal are leading the race to sign highly rated 15-year-old Pye.
Pye, who has played four times for Sunderland's Under-18 side this season, is also attracting interest from United, who were on the verge of bidding for him in the summer.
However, Arsenal are now a step ahead of the Red Devils for Pye's signature, who turns 16 in October.
The England Under-16 international can play at centre-back or full-back, but cannot move until the January transfer window when he will be 16.
