Liverpool defender Joel Matip has handed manager Jurgen Klopp an added injury headache.

The Telegraph says Matip has joined the Reds' growing injury list having been forced out of Friday's training session at Kirkby.

Centre-back Matip has a groin problem and is now considered a doubt for Monday night's Premier League clash at home to Crystal Palace.

With Ibrahima Konate also out, Joe Gomez is in line to partner Virgil van Dijk at centre-back for the visit of the Eagles.

Matip played the full 90 minutes in last Saturday's 2-2 draw at Fulham, having been overlooked in favour of Konate in both the FA Cup final win over Chelsea and the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid at the tail end of last season.
