Nicolas Anelka has finalised a new deal with Chelsea that will keep him at the club for a further two years.
The France striker has a year to run on his current deal but has agreed in principle to a fresh two-year deal that will net him about £90,000-a-week.
The news is positive for the Blues after they recently cut the quality foursome of Joe Cole, Michael Ballack, Julian Beletti and Deco.
Anelka's agent, Doug Pinis, confirmed his client was happy at Stamford Bridge.
"Nicolas is happy at Chelsea and of course he wants to stay at Chelsea," he said.
