Keeper Mikkel Andersen is keen to stay at Bristol Rovers until the end of the season to increase his chances of a World Cup spot with Denmark. Andersen has penned a one-month loan extension with a view to signing a deal until the end of the season once the managerial situation has been sorted out at parent club Reading.
The Denmark Under-21 international says he wants to keep playing to impress national head coach Morten Olsen.
"I want to be involved in the Denmark squad, but to do that I have to be playing games - and hopefully that's what will happen if I can stay here for the rest of the season," he told the Evening Post.
"If the national coach is coming over to watch me, I'll do whatever I can to get in the squad."
