Anderlecht midfielder Kristian Arnstad has confirmed a move to Burnley was close.
The 20 year-old Norway U21 midfielder was the subject of a cash offer from the Clarets.
He recalled: "The clubs did not agree, but it is of course great to have interest. I had him (Vincent Kompany, Burnley manager) for two years at Anderlecht and we had a good relationship.
"It is a dream to one day play in the Premier League. Now an agreement was not reached, so I just try to focus on where I am now."
Arnstad has a deal with Anderlecht to 2025.
