Ander Herrera has agreed terms over a new deal with Manchester United.
The Sun says the Spain midfielder, 29, is out of contract at the end of the season but an extension has been thrashed out in principle.
United are now expected to announce him staying beyond the summer, ending uncertainty over his future after five years at the club.
His future appeared in doubt under Jose Mourinho after falling down the pecking order but he has been a regular since the Special One's dismissal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer used him regularly until a hip injury ruled him out for three weeks, with his return coming before the international break against Wolves.
