Carlo Ancelotti is delighted with his new deal at Real Madrid.

The Italian has penned a new contract to 2026 with Real.

He said: "It's a very happy day. I'm very happy to continue to dream at this club, with these fans and these players. It's a day I have to mark on the calendar because it's a happy day.

"I have renewed because the team has been successful in recent years, as it is this year. The club can see that there is a good feeling between us and that is very important because without a good relationship between the coach and the players the club cannot be successful. Obviously, I thank the club for the renewal, but also the players, who are showing an extraordinary attitude.

"Real Madrid for me is, above all, a family. The atmosphere that this club generates it is very family-like, starting with the president. Each one of us brings out the best because we work in a family atmosphere."

On president Florentino Pérez, he added: "I consider him a family man and a man who has achieved in football what nobody else has been able to achieve. He is still very highly motivated because he is the club's biggest supporter, he has been since he was a little boy and this allows him to have a special love for this shirt.

"He keeps the club at the top. What he has done in the last 20 years is quite important for Real Madrid, just like Santiago Bernabéu was in the era of the 1950s."
