Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez will be in London today for an Arsenal medical.

Depor coach Gaizka Garitano named 20 players, including Lucas, in his squad for tonight's clash at Real Betis. But it was later announced that Depor "travels tomorrow (Friday) to Seville to face Real Betis with 19 players summoned instead of the 20 announced" and pointed out that Lucas "will not travel to Seville, with permission of the club".

Arsenal have triggered Lucas' €20 million buyout clause and also settled personal terms with his minders over a four-year contract.

Everton had also made an offer to Lucas, but both club and player were convinced by the Gunners.

Arsenal and Depor are now thrashing out terms over the method of payment of Lucas' fee. The Gunners had wanted to pay over installments - which was rejected by the Depor board.
