Almeria have revealed they've beaten Manchester United to the signing of Nottingham Forest teen Arvin Appiah.

United were interested in bringing the 18-year-old forward to the club this summer and following his move to Almeria, the second division Spanish side have poked fun at the Premier League giants.

Almeria announced the news on Twitter, alongside the caption: "Sorry Man Utd, Arvin Appiah is red and white".

The teenager, who has played for England's Under 19s, featured for Forest's first-team last season when he scored in the EFL Cup.
