Leeds United interim coach Sam Allardyce is set to leave his role at the club in the coming days.
The 68-year-old, affectionately known as Big Sam, was unable to save Leeds from relegation.
Allardyce was brought in with only four games of the Premier League season remaining.
The Mail states that Allardyce did not have conducive talks with the club's leadership.
With Leeds in the process of being sold, the club may believe they need more time to hire next season's head coach.
Leeds have other issues, with majority shareholder Andrea Radrizzani seemingly using their Elland Road stadium as collateral to buy Italian club Sampdoria.
