Manchester United and Inter Milan have failed to find an agreement over extending Alexis Sanchez's loan to the end of the European season.
The Mirror says Sanchez's future is in doubt after Inter Milan chief Beppe Marrotta said the club had failed to agree a loan extension with Manchester United.
Sanchez has spent the season on loan at Inter, and United want to get his £400,000-per-week wages off the bill this summer to release transfer funds for top targets such as £110million-rated Jadon Sancho.
However, United still have to sort out the striker's immediate future, with a fresh agreement needed for Sanchez to play the rest of this season with Inter after the campaign was extended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Inter still have 10 Serie A matches to play, as well as the remainder of their Europa League campaign, following football's enforced hiatus due to the outbreak of the virus.
And the Italian club face a similar predicament over winger Victor Moses, who is on loan from Chelsea, and midfielder Ivan Perisic, who is on loan at Bayern Munich from Inter.
